Join our Cook Family as Technical Manager

 

Monday - Friday 8.30- 17.00, £45k - £50k , Depending on Experience would suit Senior Technologist looking for the next step. 

 

Overview

COOK is looking for a remarkable person to nourish relationships between COOK and its Concessions retailers. Purpose:

As a member of Technical Operations, you will be part of the Kitchen Leadership Team to support the Kitchen in delivering the required food safety standards and process control to deliver the Britain’s Best Kitchen strategy.

 

Role

*        Ensuring all verification schedules are delivered.

*        Outputs of Allergen Risk Assessments actioned.

*        Challenge all Kitchen activities.

*        Lead RCA activity to reduce repeat issues.

*        Internal and external complaints / rejections fully investigated, and Root Cause Analysis completed.

*        Review outputs of internal audits and challenge findings with a CI mindset.

*        Use data from validation and verification processes to reduce usage and spend.

*        Use RCA techniques to challenge wastage in all its forms in all areas of the Kitchen

*        Lead the Hygiene team to be waste champions.

*        Maintain good relationships and regular communication with the kitchen at all levels

*        Subject Matter Expert for best practice advice for Kitchen team members where applicable.

*        Drive and improve conversations on Safety within the kitchens.

*        Develop and integrate programs to improve GMP and process control.

*        Intimate understanding of the Food Safety risks within the Kitchen and the applicable control measures

*        Subject Matter Expert on hygiene applications and Listeria Management.

*        Lead the site Food Safety Team promoting safe food at all times.

*        Good knowledge of microbiology to enable dynamic risk assessment to take place within the kitchen.

*        Work with and drive through competency assessment programs for all team members carrying our Critical Control Points / Operational Pre-Requisite Plan checks.

*        Work with and develop relationships with kit providers for hygiene applications to ensure efficiency and “up time” is maximised.

 

Good to Have

 

*        Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role

*        Minimum HACCP and Food Safety L3 – Level 4 would be great!

*        Lead Auditor Experience but experience of internal audits is a must

*        Experience of ISO 22000 systems or GFSI standards

*        Knowledge of high care / risk manufacturing

*        Good communicator with suitable IT Skills
