Job description
Process Technologist
Location: Sittingbourne
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am – 4pm
Pay rate : £30,000 (Paid Breaks)
PURPOSE:
To develop the most remarkable recipes that consistently win in taste and can be considered among the best ready meals in the world. This means ensuring every recipe meets the customer brief, aligns with agreed cost and margin, and stays true to our Founding Statement – COOK using the same ingredients and techniques you would at home.
Recipe Development & Scale Up
* Work with the Food Team to ensure all pre-200 stage recipes can be replicated on a larger scale.
* Understand expected yields, wastage, equipment needs, cooking times, and new processes or ingredients.
* Coordinate all 200, ¿, and FB1-3 batches with Kitchen Teams to achieve desired recipe outcomes.
* Record yield, labour, wastage, and update recipes accordingly.
Training & Implementation
* Train Kitchen departments on new recipes at the FB2 stage
* Ensure all department heads are happy with the recipe specifications.
* Present samples at each stage with confidence.
* Discuss potential modifications to methods or costs as needed.
Ingredient & Stock Management
* Ensure timely delivery of new ingredients within specifications.
* Monitor ingredient performance and identify any trends.
* Manage stock for all 200 batches, ensuring all samples are accounted for.
Recipe Updates & Collaboration
* Update recipes and costings after each stage to avoid production delays.
* Communicate changes to relevant teams.
* Build strong relationships across all Kitchen’s and their departments for a smooth and collaborative development process.

* Due to the nature of the role, you will be able to adapt to flexible working hours around site production schedules.
