Pantry Team Leaader

Location: Sittingbourne, Kent

Hours: Monday – Friday 8am -4pm

Pay rate : £15.17 per hour

We’re currently looking for a Pantry Team Leader to help us manage incoming deliveries, maintain accurate stock control, and support the smooth running of our warehouse.

The Role

 

*        Role model safe behaviour

*        Report and investigate accidents, incidents and near misses

*        Look for H&S risks and ensure weekly safety observation target is met

*        Team deployment (rota's) is reflective of daily tasks, holiday, training and sickness cover

*        Understand strengths within the team and develop future leaders

*        Ensure all team members are trained and all training is up to date; Level 2s, SOPs, MHE

*        Role model and lead through COOK values

*        Build strong relationships with all of the intake and planning teams across COOK

*        Manage realistic targets/goals for the team to deliver results

*        Ensure that all delivered and processed and booked in correctly

*        Ensure no resources (food, energy, water) are unnecessarily wasted

*        Ensure non-conforming products are raised, segregated and managed effectively.

*        Ensure that effective picking processes are follwed in the warehouse reduce shrinkage

*        Daily check sheets are completed accurately with any issues followed up

*        Engage with GMP audits regularly undertaking mock audits to make sure the department is always audit ready

*        Oversee quality checks of ingredients coming into the building through visual checks and spec checks on protein

*        Any non-conformances raised are segregated, clearly labelled and followed up for collection/disposal

*        Report and monitor any damage to racking, FLTs and the general area.

 

Good to Have

We’re looking for someone who shares our values and is keen to grow with us. It’s great if you have:

  • A team-first mindset – great communication and reliability are essential.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or Goods In role – but full training will be provided.
  • Familiarity with stock systems or a willingness to learn – basic computer literacy is a bonus.
  • Forklift experience or a valid forklift licence – but not essential.
