Head of Sealing & Packing

 

£30,000 - £35,000

 

Monday to Friday 8am - 4pm but would need some flexibility due to our operation being 24/7

Role

 

*        Oversee the Operation of In line Production process.

*        Ensure end of line final quality/ label checks are done.

*        Ensure that all heath and safety procedures are being adhered and followed by all your team members.

*        Oversee your departments budget.

*        Identify the trends, challenges and opportunities for improvement within your department, including tool changes to achieve the best performances from the departments kit. Manage and record the OEE within the packing department and then report on a regular basis.

*        Support your Leaders and team members by being an active part of the team, being willing to contribute, roll your sleeves up and work together to create a remarkable operation.

*        Develop a training programme which ensures all new starters are supported and fully trained within an agreed time frame.

*        Ensure the Team Leaders are kept informed of overall business performance, strategic plans which directly/indirectly affect the department.

*        Constantly review and develop processes which improve the efficiency of the department.

*        Contribute a help the delivery of the Manufacturing strategy of Britain’s Best Kitchen 

 

Good to Have  

  • Strong leadership skills, with excellent communication and strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Ability to challenge accepted practices or processes to drive forward improvements or cost savings.
  • Ability to work on own initiative .
  • Knowledge and a passion for good food
  • Experience of working with In Line Production
