Team Leader - Mixing & Weighing Department Team Member
Location: Sittingbourne, Kent - COOK KITCHEN
Hours: Sunday – Thursday 2pm -10pm
Pay rate : £29,328.00 (yes this include paid breaks)
The step between cooking and dishing and the step that ensures our customers food is safe and other teams workflow doesn’t stop. By safeguarding our products, monitoring chill times and doing the final checks before dishing, you help create our remarkable products. Not only that, you provide a service that ensures our customer get consistency every time they enjoy our delicious food.
The Role
* Mix weigh and measure ingredients, and products to ensure conformance to requirements
* Follow recipes closely and do a final check to ensure the next department has all elements of the dish. Consistency is a must and therefore you must have a full understanding of our specifications.
* test samples of products to ensure compliance with specifications
* Work closely with the management team to coordinate and control departmental activities, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives.
* Ensure all relevant processes and paperwork are completed accurately and on time.
* Oversee product quality for every batch, providing your team with the knowledge and training necessary to recognize and deliver excellent results.
* Proactively identify and address challenges, communicating effectively with the Production Manager to implement solutions.
* Maintain clear and effective communication within your team and with other departments to promote seamless operations.
* Encourage and coach your team to embrace continuous improvement in processes, performance, and personal development.
* Utilize effective people management tools to address performance issues, celebrate successes, and identify potential talent within the team for further development.
* Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to the company’s values and going above and beyond to resolve challenges.
Good to Have
* NVQ level 2 (or equivalent) in catering.
* Experience of working in food manufacturing, production would be an advantage
