Management Accountant Assistant 

 

Monday - Friday 8.30am - 5pm – Hybrid working 3 days in the office- 2 days at home which will need to be flexible.

 

£24,000 - £26,000 depending on experience

To produce and distribute accurate weekly reports for the kitchens to the operational leaders and regular KPI reporting. Analsye the performance and suggest improvements. To look at the existing reports and processes and suggest how they can be improved. To assist in the period end processes and reporting as well as the annual budgeting process.

To support the manufacturing team and produce additional analysis as and when required.

 

Responsibilities

  • Be part of the team that performs all Period End processes and produces P&L’s. Includes the following duties;

  • Process all agreed accounting entries including accruals, prepayments & journals.

  • Liaise with relevant Dept Heads to provide relevant review meetings in order to sign off P&L’s with them.

  • Provide full Period End Reporting to specific Departments and the wider business.

  • Provide full P&L variance analysis for budget & last year comparatives.

  • Liaise with Purchase Ledger Team to improve invoice coding accuracy.

  • Ensure all deadlines are adhered to.

  • Till Sheet Management;

  • Ensure all Retail & Vending tillsheets are posted within the agreed deadlines.

  • Liaise with Retail Op’s to ensure that stores comply with Till Sheet procedures.

  • Liaise with IT Development to improve Till Sheet System.

  • Prepare selected Balance Sheet Reconciliations;

  • Perform selected Balance Sheet Reconciliations for presentation to the Balance Sheet Review Meeting with the Financial Accountant

  • Ensure all B/S accounts are fully understood with adjustments made on a regular basis. You will be expected to become an ‘expert’ in designated areas of the Balance Sheet in order that we remain fully in control.

  • Support the budget/reforecast process;

  • Provide relevant data and analysis for the preparation of the budget.

  • System & Process improvements;

  • Work with the Team to critically review the processes and make improvement recommendations.
