Part of the COOK Logistics team, based from our West Country hub in Ilton Somerset.  Our delivery drivers are not just drivers spending time on the road, there the friendly faces driving a branded COOK van, being the best ambassador while  building a rapport with our customers.

Overview

COOK is looking for a remarkable person to nourish relationships between COOK and its Concessions retailers. Must Have

*                  Full UK driving licence with C and minimum of 2 years driving experience.

*                  Counter Balance experience.

*                  Supervisory experience.

*                  Experience in multi-drop delivery.

*                  Good to have a good knowledge of the local areas and roads.

Please note: COOK will carry out driving licence checks to appointed drivers.

Role

*        Supervise and lead delivery drivers from our West Country hub, liaising with the wider distribution team.

*        Cross loading of overnight trunk to delivery vehicles.

*        Deliver Orders to both COOK shops and Concession Partners according to COOKs procedures.

*        Ensure deliveries are completed safely as per COOKs Health and Safety requirements.

*        To ensure legal compliance with regard to Drivers Hours Regulations and Working Time Directive. Keep records of vehicle mileage.

*         Comply with all relevant traffic regulations, including adhering to Speed Limits, driving in a safe and responsible manner whilst ensuring deliveries are delivered in a timely fashion.

• Take responsibility for loading and unloading your own packages onto the vehicle/into our customers shops ensuring no damage to product.
• Responsible for ensuring that the temperatures in the vehicle are within the safe permitted range and provide air temperature of the vehicle at the end of the run, in printed report where possible.
• Ensure the vehicle is kept in a good working condition and all daily safety checks are completed and any defects reported through the Defect Reporting System
