Training Manager  

 

£40-45k per annum depending on experience 

40 hours per week  

 

Leading the brand new training team (within the L&D team) you will help embed our Culture of Care at COOK, ensuring everyone has the skills and knowledge to do their job safely.  

This role is very varied, with excellent access across the business, and will include some flexible hours and travel to other COOK sites and external venues for training.  

 

Your Role: 

The Training Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing compliance training programs to ensure that all employees understand and comply with relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role involves designing effective training materials, facilitating training sessions, monitoring compliance, and working closely with various departments to promote a culture of care across COOK.  

 

*        Develop and maintain comprehensive regulatory training programs, including content creation, e-learning modules, and training manuals.  

*        Ensure training materials are up-to-date with the latest regulatory requirements and best practices.  

*        Facilitate engaging, values-led training sessions, using various training methods (in-person, virtual, e-learning) to effectively deliver content.  

*        Be accountable for providing compliance training programs and work with kitchen leads to ensure timely completion of mandatory training.  

*        Maintain accurate training records and generate reports on training activities, completion rates, and compliance levels.  

*        Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through assessments, surveys, and feedback, identifying areas for improvement.  

*        Work closely with People, Technical, and department heads to identify training needs and ensure alignment.  

*        Provide support and guidance to team members on compliance-related issues and questions- be the go-to person.  

*        Stay informed about changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting the organization- communicate relevant updates and incorporate changes into training programs.  

 
 

Good to have 

*        Has a proven track record as a trainer (specifically in H&S and manual handling)  

*        Has minimum IOSH Managing Safely (ideally NEBOSH) qualification  

*        Has experience and understanding of compliance training requirements and leading a training team (including use of an LMS system)  

*        Is organized, adaptable, and has a great ability to juggle lots of projects at once  

*        Has confidence and clear written and spoken communication  

*        Is unphased by a challenge and doesn’t mind rolling up their sleeves and getting stuck in  

*        Has a passion for ensuring our people can do their best work safely  

 

Other bits‿  

3-4 days per week at a COOK site- based at HQ in Sittingbourne, this role will include regular travel to other COOK sites and external venues (including Tonbridge, Somerset, London etc).
