Production Team Leader  - Preparation Department – food production  

Sunday - Thursday  10pm - 6am 

 

Join a dynamic and passionate team in food production as a Production Team Leader in our Preparation Department. With a focus on attention to detail, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the creation of remarkable products that consistently exceed customer expectations. You will lead, inspire, and support your team to achieve exceptional performance and uphold our high-quality standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Leadership & Motivation:

    • Lead and motivate the team to perform at their best.
    • Foster a positive and encouraging work environment that supports growth and success.
  2. Planning & Organization:

    • Plan and allocate daily tasks to ensure targets are clear, achievable, and communicated effectively.
    • Monitor workloads to maximize productivity while adhering to quality standards.
  3. Operational Coordination:

    • Collaborate with the management team to coordinate and control departmental activities.
    • Ensure processes and paperwork are completed accurately and on time.
  4. Quality Assurance:

    • Oversee product quality for every batch, providing training and guidance to the team.
    • Ensure adherence to the company’s standards, identifying and addressing issues proactively.
  5. Problem Solving & Communication:

    • Identify challenges and implement effective solutions in collaboration with the Production Manager.
    • Maintain clear communication within the team and across departments to ensure seamless operations.
  6. Continuous Improvement:

    • Encourage and coach the team in adopting continuous improvement practices.
    • Utilize people management tools to address performance issues, celebrate achievements, and identify talent for development.
  7. Role Model:

    • Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to company values and resolving challenges proactively.

Skills & Experience:

Essential:

  • Strong ability to work effectively within a team, with excellent communication skills.
  • Proven experience in leading teams within a production or food manufacturing environment.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.

Desirable:

  • NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in Catering or a related field.
  • Experience working in a busy preparation department within food manufacturing.
