Position: Sealing & Packing Line Leader

Location: Sittingbourne – COOK Classics Kitchen

Hours: Monday to Friday, 2pm – 10pm

Salary: 12.58

 
 

Role Overview

As the Sealing & Packing Team Leader, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring that our remarkable products are perfectly prepared for delivery. Your attention to detail will ensure our customers receive exactly what they expect, with every product sealed, sleeved, and boxed to the highest standards. You’ll lead the team responsible for this vital final step, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and excellence in every task.

 
 

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Quality & Accuracy:

  • Oversee sealing, sleeving, and boxing processes to meet accuracy, speed, and presentation standards.

  • Verify that all products are correctly frozen, and ensure x-ray machines and metal detectors are appropriately set.

  • Compliance & Record Keeping:

  • Confirm that all products meet target weights (a legal obligation) and ensure corresponding paperwork is completed accurately and legibly.

  • Manage and maintain freezer operations, ensuring blast freezers are defrosted as required.

  • Process Verification:

  • Ensure labels and sleeves are correct before sleeving and that all packaging aligns with product specifications.

  • Leadership & Team Management:

  • Lead and support the sealing and packing team to achieve daily targets while fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.

 

Good to Have

  • Experience working in a food manufacturing environment.
  • NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent) in catering.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a small team.
  • Previous experience in a leadership role (preferred but not essential).
