Job description

Location: Sittingbourne, Kent - COOK Pastry & Pies 

Hours: Monday - Friday 11am – 7pm

Pay rate : £27,300 per year  / £14 per hour

We're looking for a Goods In Operative to manage incoming deliveries, ensure accurate stock handling, and maintain efficient inventory control. The Role 

*       Takes ownership of the role, working confidently and independently while supporting colleagues on-site. 

*       Demonstrates accountability by accurately receiving, checking, and safely storing deliveries, ensuring correct stock rotation 

*       Shows attention to detail by completing picks and carrying out thorough spec checks on protein deliveries. 

*       Communicates effectively by reporting shortages through the appropriate channels. 

*       Leads by example in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organised warehouse environment.  

*       Comfortable working independently alongside a casual team member, with support from other departments on-site. 

*       Saturdays involve offloading, processing, and booking in deliveries, completing picks, carrying out protein spec checks, and general housekeeping duties. 

 

Good to have 

*       Being able to work in a small team, communication is KEY. 

*       Warehouse or Goods In experience preferred but full training given. 

*       Experience of working with a stock management system, or some understanding of working on computers in a warehouse environment would be useful. 

*       Experience of using a forklift or holder of a forklift licence would be great.
