Distribution Coordinator

 

Hours - Monday to Friday - 6 -2.30pm  

Location – Gillingham (will be moving to Sittingbourne Jan 2027) 

Salary - £30,000 per year  

 

37.5hrs per week Monday to Friday due to the nature of the role will need to have some flexibility with Start and finish times, Experience within the Logistics, Transport or Distribution industry would be an advantage. A few hours WFH every other Saturday to do some planning which is given back time in Lieu 

 

Your Team   

The Distribution team provide the vital link between food production and our customers. The team has a key role to play in ensuring deliveries across the COOK network are carried out according to Health & Safety regulations as well as being delivered at the right place, time and cost. 

 

*       Be the first line of support and troubleshoot with queries on day to day operational challenges. 

*       Driver supervision via pre / post shift briefings. 

*       Support with administration on driver and vehicle compliance records. 

*       Be aware of Health & Safety regulations to ensure all distribution activities are being performed safely. 

*       Support daily load planning and associated administration to optimise fleet utilisation in line with Logistics KPI’s. 

*       Create and manage KPI reports to assist in cost and performance reporting. 

*       Any other admin tasks that are required for the distribution operation. 

*       Be flexible with regard to working arrangements and be able to undertake a variety of jobs over the 24/7 nature of the operation. 

 

Good to have 

*       Experience of distribution. 

*       Experience of contractor relationships. 

*       Experience of HGV and MHE operations. 

*       Any vocational training relevant to the position e.g. Health and Safety. 

*       Excellent excel skills with the ability to create and update reports. 

*       Good written and verbal communications.
